Met zijn nieuwste serie objecten creëert het Instituut voor de Loslopende Mens een laagdrempelige plek voor contact en reflectie. Een manier om even te ontsnappen uit de drukke wereld van NU! en gericht aandacht te geven aan wat werkelijk belangrijk is. Net als op de speeltoestellen waar u zich als kind, zonder besef van tijd, spelenderwijs motorisch ontwikkelde – op zoek naar evenwicht, zelfvertrouwen en behendigheid om te kunnen omgaan met verschillende uitdagingen – doet u dat in de Speelruimte voor Contact en Reflectie mentaal.

In een globaliserende wereld, die geregeerd lijkt te worden door consumentisme, loopt de mens los, op zoek naar zingeving en houvast. We worden steeds meer op onszelf teruggeworpen en dienen onze eigen keuzes te maken. Maar wat als we het niet weten? Wie geeft ons richting en wie neemt verantwoordelijkheid? De uitdaging voor de Loslopende Mens lijkt te zitten in het zoeken naar nieuwe vormen van verbondenheid. Met onze eigen identiteit, de mensen om ons heen en de omgeving waarin wij ons bevinden. De objecten in de speelruimte faciliteren dit.

Het Instituut biedt hiermee ruimte voor reflectie, inspiratie en de mogelijkheid om hier over van gedachten te wisselen.

With its latest series of objects, the Institute for the Wandering Man has created a low-threshold site for contact and reflection. A way to escape briefly from the busy world of NOW! and focus your attention on what is really important. Just like on the climbing frames and slides on which you developed your motor skills as a child, without any sense of time – looking for balance, self-confidence and dexterity in order to be able to deal with various challenges – you do this mentally in the Play Area for Contact and Reflection.

In a globalising world, which appears to be ruled by consumerism, people appear to be wandering, searching for meaning and something to hold onto. We are increasingly being thrown upon our own resources and have to make our own choices. But what if we don't know? Who gives us direction and who takes responsibility? The challenge for the Wandering Man is in finding new forms of connection. With our own identity, the people around us and the environment in which we find ourselves. The objects in the play area facilitate this.
